Discovery Day Camp

The MFC Discovery Camp is gearing up for another great season of fun in the sun in summer 2021!

Nella Ivie will be returning as camp director and she is making plans for four, fantastic, one- week summer sessions. Discovery Day Camp is a neighborhood day camp that provides a fun, safe environment for kids to come and spend time with their friends and make new ones too! It is open to members and non-members and is designed for children in rising grades K-5th. The camp is led by Nella and teen counselors.

At camp, children participate in swimming, crafts, games, and outdoor sports. Campers are grouped by grade and gender with a maximum ratio of 5 campers to 1 counselor. A mid-morning snack is provided. Children should bring a lunch each day, no lunch will be provided. Also, send a refillable water bottle for your children. The kids can purchase sealed packaged snack food items and drinks at the snack bar.

Children should come to camp dressed in a swimsuit, shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes. Don't forget to apply sun block to your child everyday and bring a towel. Please label all your child’s belongings.

Camp hours: 9am - 1pm, Tuesday through Friday; campers may attend one or more sessions.
